Creates opt-in deep links so WhatsApp users can subscribe to your messages.
When a user taps the link and confirms, you get a webhook notification and they get the confirmation message you configured.
Deep link format
After creating a signup, use the returned id together with the number:
wa.me/<PHONE_NUMBER>/signup/<SIGNUP_ID>
A signup is not tied to one number — the same signup_id works with any number in
your WABA.
Terms of Service
On the first creation, include the policy object with tos and
accepted: true. Later calls don't need it.
Promo codes
Use {{promo_code}} in confirmation_message and pass the value in promo_code.
The placeholder is replaced in the message delivered to the user.
Anyone who subscribes through a deep link is automatically added to the WABA's default customer base.
Reading or editing a signup
Meta exposes a single signup at the root of the Graph API, by its own ID — there is
no /signups/{id} path. Use GET /v1/{resource_id} to read and
POST /v1/{resource_id} to edit, passing the signup_id as resource_id.
