Delivery status
GET/messages/status/:messageId
The last known state of a message you sent, by WAMID.
The 201 from a send only says WhatsApp accepted the message — the outcome
comes later, through the messages webhook. Outside the 24-hour window, for
instance, free text is accepted and rejected seconds later with code 131047:
anyone treating the 201 as final success believes they sent something that
never arrived.
The answer comes from the same mirror as GET /events, so it costs no Meta call
and no send quota. status: null means no status has arrived yet (usually a
matter of seconds) or that the account's webhooks aren't being delivered.

Missing, malformed, unknown or revoked token (authentication), or a suspended
account (tenant_inactive).
Payload failed validation (invalid_request, detailed in issues) or was
rejected by Meta (meta_error, with the original body in meta).
